Enrollment is FREE. Plenty of goodies to be given away and hundreds of lucky draws to be won. This is the second year , the Ministry Of Health, Malaysia has fully endorsed and supported this good work of Lions Club Of Petaling Jaya.
Due to the outstanding success of the inaugural walk nine years ago we pledged to make this an annual event and I am very pleased to advise that Sunday, 15th April 2012 will be our ninth (9th) year where we will be conducting our “Lions Journey for Sight ”.
Funds raised from our walk are used to support Lions Clubs SightFirst Projects. In collaboration with The Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital (THONEH) ‘s Community Service, we have given FREE Eye Screening and Cataract Operation for more than 12,000 poor and needy senior citizen, all funded by RM500, 000.00 raised through the past eight Blind Leading The Blind Charity Walk.
More importantly, we have had imparted an Eye Care Awareness to more than 160,000 walkers since 2003.
