Welcome to the world..eer..still to be call a 'world' maybe..just a small network among few of us who are bunch of newbies, weirdo's, professional..mm..what ever u like to call it! Team members including a cockroaches, fatdog, a clam(lala), a father of two who always saying some unexpected funny words & with his trademark quote..'nandieyohhhhhh'! and an old man..well..just a piece of shitttt whose favourites is 'mat salleh herbal tea' & ya..'what is life without herbal tea'! hehehhh! And of course..there are those weirdo's who never show up yet but im sure will be inserted soon enough!

Hopefully everyone would be logging in and write up some stories from time to time, from now on.

30th Beijing International Marathon 2010 - China

Welcome to the 30th Beijing International Marathon Race
Beijing International Marathon (BIM), organized by the China Athletics Association and approved by IAAF and AIMS, is the highest-level marathon race in China. It was first staged in 1981 and has been held in October annually ever since. It has become an influential and traditional international race, ranking top 10 marathons in the world. The best record of last year's race for men and women marathon was 2:08'20" and 2:34'44" respectively, achieved by Kenya player and Chinese player.

The 30th Beijing International Marathon will be held on the fourth Sunday of October, 2010. Autumn in Beijing is the golden season of the year, and also the golden season of tourism. Today, with its magnificent Tian'anmen Square, its network of cloverleaves and its skyline of high-rises, Beijing has taken on a new look, blending classical grace with modernity. Our slogan for the marathon this year is: Sports for All, Challenge Ourselves. On the race day, millions of enthusiastic spectators will line the streets to cheer on the thousands of runners. Over 100 million people nationwide will watch the TV live coverage. The convergence of high-class athletes and a wide spectrum of part-time runners with the spectators and tourists who will pack the streets to give the Beijing Marathon its unique flair and appeal.

Beijing has successfully hosted the 2008 Olympic Games, whose theme is “Green Olympics, High-Tech Olympics, Peoples’ Olympics”. In 2008 Olympic Games, great changes have been made to Beijing to create a better environment for sports, and the warm welcome of the Chinese people and the steady friendship among people all over the world have been witnessed. Now visit Beijing to feel the ever-changing atmosphere of the city and push the worldwide friendship more further.

Flag-Off Time: 8am
Distance: 42km, 21km, 9km & 4.2km
Time Limit for All Events:
42km - 5 hours
21km - 2h 30mins
9km - 1 hour
4,km - 25 minutes
*Runners failing to reach the time limit will be asked to get on a pick-up vehicle.*

Award:
- For full marathon, 1st-10th place winners (male and female), trophy, Cash prize (US Dollar) and Medal; Finishers within the time limit, Certificate, Medal and Bath Towel.
- For half, 9km and 4.2km marathon, 1st-10th place winners (male and female), trophy,medal, and sports shirt; finishers with the time limit, result-record manual.
- All participants will receive an official BIM shoulder bag, T-shirt and start number.
