In conjunction with the 3rd anniversary of George Town being named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Penang Branch is organizing a fun walk around George Town.
The 4km walk will be flagged off in front of the Town Hall at the Esplanade at 8am. The route of the walk covers some of the George Town’s heritage sites such as the Yeah Kongsi, Poh Hock Seah Temple, Khoo Kongsi Temple, Masjid Kapitan Keling, St George’s Church and the Sri Mahamariamman Temple.
Through this walk, the MRC is expecting to raise RM150,000 for MRC Penang Branch to fund its various humanitarian projects.
Registration forms are available at the MRC Penang Branch at 26, Grove Road, and at the MRC Seberang Perai Utara Chapter at 2, Jalan St Mark, Butterworth. The registration fee is RM 30. Walkers can also register on 24th of July.
