A COMMUNITY event called the “IOI Bandar Puteri 5km Fun Walk” will be held on Dec 5 from 7am to noon at the field next to the Bandar Puteri Police Station in Puteri 7, Puchong (behind Columbia Hospital).
It is jointly organised by all the residents associations of Puteri 6, Puteri 7, Puteri 8, Puteri 9, Puteri 10 Melia, Puteri 10 Banyan, Puteri 11, Puteri 12, Sri Begonia Apartments, Akasia Apartments, Wawasan 2, Wawasan 2 and Wawasan 3, with the support of a temple committee and sponsored by IOI Properties.
The family-oriented event is aimed at creating an avenue for families and neighbours to get to know each otherand stay fit.
The event has received the full support of the Serdang district police and will be launched by the new Selangor CPO.
The police mounted horses unit will be on hand to ensure the road safety element.
There will also be a demonstration by the canine unit and an exhibition on home safety and crime prevention.
Themed “Have Fun, Keep Fit, Stay Healthy, Know Your Neighbours”, the leisurely walk will cover a route of 5km.
There are plans to include a simple treasure hunt along the route for avid hunters, as well as breakfast and free lucky draw coupons for all participants.
The organisers are planning to have the walk led by a school kompang team, a bhangra troupe and other musical groups.
Tents will be set up on the field for various sponsors and exhibitors to promote their products and services.

Larian Gemilang 2011 - Run For Charity

Perkembangan Kebajikan dan Kemasyarakatan ( JKP KEMAS ) Kolej Kediaman Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah, Universiti Malaya currently.

The main objective of this run is to get the public involved and express their care towards the less fortune and disabled. Through this activity, we also hope to increase civic awareness, responsibilities as well as uncovering duties of everyone especially the younger generation as they are the future leaders of the country.
By knowing the truth behind the modern society, we, JKP KEMAS have taken the initiative to organize the Larian Gemilang 2011 as we hope to help the people in need in every possible aspects. Our main target is to obtain at least 500 participants. Funds that is raised from the registration fees will automatically be donated to the Shelter 1 Orphanage.
