The President’s Challenge is an annual series of community-based activities, to increase awareness about how the community can get involved in helping the less fortunate and to raise funds for the social service sector. It is hoped that by doing this, a more cohesive society would be created. The Challenge also aims to convey that the more able in society have a special responsibility to help the rest of society and that all Singaporeans can make a difference in our community.

Battery-Powered' Marathon 2010

`Battery-powered' Marathon to light up the night

Date: 14/12/2009
KUALA LUMPUR: Battery maker Energizer is organising Night Marathon 2010 which will take place in the Klang Valley on March 27.
Energizer which is partnering with Adidas and Schick for the event said, in a statement, that the venue would be announced soon.
The venue will be a conducive location for runners who will be given special headlights for running safely in the dark.
Energizer said the unusual race had already made a mark globally with night races being held in South Korea, Argentina and South Africa since 2007.
The company's brand manager for Malaysia, Joshua Leong, said the race would excite and inspire Malaysians, especially avid runners, to take up the challenge.
"Running in the dark is something not many people including experienced runners, have done.
"Most runs in Malaysia are held in the early mornings, so we are looking forward to an exciting and impactful event," said Leong.

Front Medal View

Rear Medal View

Date: 13th December 2009
Venue: Chin Woo Stadium, Kuala Lumpur
Distance: Swim-800m & Run-7km
Award: Finisher Medal

Not much of a story, just a fuckup organizer(Chinwoo) with no sportmanship spirit. So if you really want to participate next year pls make sure you train hard & make sure you're not the last one standing(swimming). Otherwise they'll just say..ohh ok..tis is your last lap..come up from the pool & you can begin your run!!(but to the truth, you still have 10 laps to go!!!!!) So train hard!!!

Oh..btw, i guess the traffic controller was either blind or he is just pretending to be busy, or he just need some training on how to stop a car to let the runners pass first. You will have to stop the car by your self or you can just waited at the junction & let those cars passed first & then continue your run~!

Anyway, who knows..next year we might still take part in it! LOL
