Turned out to be a good run today. Just a little hiccups that most significant was lack of road marshalls(i mean really lack of) & distance markers, not even one to be exact along the whole course, WTF!! Few 30km lead runners looked confuse & thought they were running in the wrong direction as we came face to face while on their way back. Guess some of the runners will be bemoaning like hell when they reached the finishing line.(wonder is there any one had to run extra distance??)

Well..overall the race was ok & challenging especially the returned route & everyone finished strong ahead yes?? Well Done!!

RUN 350 - First and only mass run held in Pulau Ubin

The first and only mass run held in the natural surroundings of Pulau Ubin. Being a non-competitive run, you can enjoy the run or test your limits. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the scenic route, be it 5km or 10km.

Proceeds will go towards Garden City Fund's Plant-a-Tree programme. Young NTUC hopes to raise enough to plant 350 trees during our 5th Anniversary celebration on 30th April 2010.

MPSJ-New Straits Times Carnival & 10km Run 2010

 

SUBANG JAYA: Get your trainers out and mark April 24 and 25 on your calendar as you will not want to miss the MPSJ-New Straits Times Carnival & 10km Run 2010 which is set to take place that weekend.
The two-day fun carnival and run is jointly organised by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and the New Straits Times.

New Straits Times group editor Datuk Syed Nadzri Syed Harun and council president Datuk Adnan Md Ikshan unveiled the event logo in a soft launch at the council's headquarters in USJ 5 yesterday.

Among those who witnessed the unveiling were MPSJ councillors and heads of department.
The highlight of the two-day event is the 10km run on April 25 which is expected to attract 8,000 participants.

The run, which is being held in partnership with the Selangor Amateur Athletic Association, is divided into 11 categories and open to individuals aged between 13 and 51, corporate and disabled groups, as well as families.

Participants will be flagged off at the council sports complex at 7am.

There are lots of prizes to be won and participants will also receive certificates of participation, T-shirts and goodie bags. They will also have a chance to win lucky draw prizes such as airline tickets and holiday packages.

On both days, ongoing carnival activities will take place in the compounds of the sports complex.

Among the activities that have been lined up for the carnival, which is aimed at promoting unity in the local community and encouraging healthy activities for residents of Subang Jaya, include Soccer Kid League, New Straits Times educational activities, magic show, cultural performances, martial arts demonstrations, colouring contest, antique cars and motorcycles display; exhibition by government agencies and sponsors as well as football, netball and tug-of-war contests.

Application forms for the run can be found in New Straits Times, Harian Metro and Berita Harian beginning March 16. The closing date for entries is April 18.

Apart from attracting ever-increasing number of international participants, the Towerthon is also divided into several age categories, namely Men and Women (Open), Men and Women (Junior), Senior and Diamond Veterans, Boy and Girl (Junior) and Disabled Men and Women.

The Amazing Kidney Race 2010 - Singapore

Are you game enough for a fun-filled and challenging adventure? Join us in our first ever Amazing Kidney Race on 27th March 2010 (Sat). Race through the different road-blocks and obstacles and at the same time, learn more about your kidneys and health.

Jointly organised by KDF and Nee Soon South Community Club Youth Executive Committee (NSS CC YEC), and in conjunction with World Kidney Day 2010, KDF is organizing a race cum educational expedition for students of all ages. Adapted from the hit reality series “The Amazing Race”, participants will have to complete the race by making pit stops at designated stations to complete tasks or games before reaching the finishing point. Fabulous prizes await the winners!

The race is open for everyone! Students from Primary to Secondary Schools can form a team of 10 and compete in the Student Category. For parents with kids, or groups of friends and buddies, you are more than welcome to participate too! Form a team of at least 5 persons for our Open Category. Don’t miss out on this ideal bonding and educational activity for you, your friends and family!

Singapore Biathlon 2010
